Digital Innovation Grant Readiness
A Strong Application Begins Before the Form
The best applications show that the founder understands the problem, the user, the current stage of development, and what the grant would help unlock.
Problem
Define the unmet need in specific, user-centered terms.
Evidence
Show what you have already learned through research, testing, or feedback.
Readiness
Explain the current product stage, constraints, and next milestone.
Use of Support
Connect the requested services to a clear development outcome.
What Reviewers Need to Understand
A compelling application makes it easy to see who experiences the problem, why existing options fall short, and how the proposed solution could create meaningful value. Reviewers should not have to infer the product’s purpose or intended user.
Prepare Evidence, Not Just Claims
Organize customer interviews, early test results, technical assumptions, intellectual-property work, regulatory considerations, competitive research, and any prototype learning. Early-stage evidence does not need to be perfect, but it should show disciplined progress.
